Eblen campus cleanup

These days Joe P. Eblen Intermediate’s campus is looking lovely thanks to a group of hard-working students. The school’s Beta Club stayed late one day after school to help clean up outside areas for others to enjoy.

“Students having an ownership stake in their school is always a good thing,” said Principal Jeremy Stowe. “The Beta Club Motto is: ‘Let us lead by serving others.’ In this service project, I see the students living out this motto. The flower beds at the front of the school look new, fresh and clean. Who doesn't like a little spring cleaning?”

The National Beta Club is known as the largest educational youth organization in America. According to their website, for over 80 years, it has prepared students to become leaders. Nearly seven million students have learned how to make a life for themselves through this organization.
