A Super Bowl MVP quarterback is inspiring students at Eblen Intermediate to read for a quarter hour every day.

Kristin Hensley’s class is participating in the “Read for 15 Challenge”, an initiative of the 15 and Mahomies Foundation founded by the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes. (The 15 refers to the NFL star’s jersey number.) The challenge encourages students, teachers, families, and communities to dedicate at least 15 minutes a day to reading. The goal is to promote literacy, improve reading skills, and foster a lifelong love of reading among young people.

“This activity not only supports the classroom commitment to daily reading but also celebrates the power of storytelling to inspire dreams and spark important conversations,’ Mrs. Hensley shared. “We’re excited to continue our reading adventures and encourage everyone to join us in making reading a daily habit.”
