THANK YOU, PTO for gifting the WVES office the cabinets for clothes and the plastic "pencil" containers that we will use for medicine for students. Thank you for your generosity and always making sure our school is taken care of. ~Front Office

Thanks to our AMAZING PTO, Ms. Emily was able to start a sensory item closet! So many students need timers to aid in transitions, objects they can fidget with in class, and noise dimming headphones and now their teachers can check them out from the sensory closet in Ms. Emily’s room to use for the year. Noise dimming headphones and chewlery are by far the most popular! Ms. Emily and many kids want to say a huge THANK YOU to the PTO for this great opportunity!!!!

Fourth graders have been learning about why the moon has phases and identifying each moon phase. Students used hands-on tools to simulate the earth, moon and sun as well as virtual simulations called Gizmos.

Thank you so much for the Legos in STEM and for other small groups. We have designed airplanes after reading Violet the Pilot. A wonderful book about a STEM girl who creates and makes a very good decision in the end . We plan on some other build challenges. Students just love designing new things with Legos.
Sincerely, Mrs. Moran

Mr. Arnst's Club is Pokemon Card Design. Students plan and then create their own Pokemon on the computer.

During Art/PE, Mr. Martin and Coach Morgan show students how to design paper airplanes on the new big screen in the gym. Then students are given an opportunity to color, design and make modifications to their airplane before the throwing competition. The two types of throws we worked on is throwing for distance and throwing for accuracy.
