Orchestra students posing with instruments outside of Erwin High School

BCS Orchestra students from across the district recently united to make beautiful music together.

After only a day rehearsing, the All-County Orchestra, composed of sixth- through 12th grade students from 14 schools, performed for families, friends, and orchestral music lovers across Buncombe County on stage at Erwin High School.

Orchestra students gathered in a semicircle in a rehearsal room play their instruments“It was exciting to see and hear our students from around the district collaborate and create music together under the direction of our guest clinicians,” said Laura Mitchell, BCS Arts Education Specialist. “What our students learn in music education courses can be used throughout their lifetimes. We are proud of their hard work and talent."
