Welcome to 5th Grade at Eblen Intermediate School! My name is Melanie Norton and I teach 5th grade Language Arts and Social Studies. I have been teaching at Eblen Intermediate since 2017 but began my teaching career in 1998. I taught for many years in Tennessee before moving to beautiful Western North Carolina. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Carson-Newman University. When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and doing crafts. I am the mom of 4 boys and step-mom to 2 boys. My husband Roger and I stay busy keeping up with our six teenage boys and their many ballgames and activities.
